INPUT 2001 - Cape Town, South Africa
More than 1,000 television industry professionals from 60 international broadcasters are meeting in Cape Town for the 24th annual Input conference.
At least 80 television projects on the broad theme of storytelling will be screened and discussed by delegates at the 10-day conference, being held in Africa for the first time. "There will be a lively blend of debate, criticism and proposals," says Input 2001 coordinator Sylvia Vollenhoven. She says the decision to allow Cape Town to host the conference marks "a tremendous opportunity to market South Africa as a television and filmmaking destination and to grow our local industry."
