INPUT 1982 - Toronto, Canada
"The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation hosted INPUT 1982, bringing the conference back across the Atlantica and settling it into the comfortable middle-class gentility of the Park Plaza Hotel in downtown Toronto. While the Park Plaza was not entirely lacking in charm, what little it had was immediately eclipsed by the creative genius of Les Lawrence and his team of conference organizers. Using a melange of odds and ends from the CBC's extensive prop and scenery collection, the hosts transformed an otherwise ordinary meeting room into an extraordinary delegate lounge, as inviting as it was idiosyncratic the rooms eclectic furnishing artfully arranged into mini environments suggestive of various historical periods, and its attraction for eye-wary conferees was topped off by the continous free coffee service."
