INPUT 2019 Midweek Party

9 May 2019

Saved from the Waves!

Several hundred Conference delegates were spared from choppy Chao Phraya river in Bangkok last night where they were to celebrate the traditional INPUT midweek party.
It was to be a romantic cruise past Bangkok’s old town on a two storey glass boat accompanied by the whacky sounds of a female hip hop artist. But the waves were so high the ship could not land to take the passengers on board. Massive clouds of black smoke were emitted by the steamer as it attempted several times to reach the river bank, 3 ropes snapped and people ran as the high glass structure rocked dangerously in the waves. After a dramatic half hour, the organisers decided to give up on the rocking boat and guided the delegates through the tiny Bangkok streets to a fabulous location on the river where they could rock the night away - without feeling seasick.
