The Best of INPUT - Warsaw, Poland

The Best of INPUT, also known as a Mini-INPUT, is one part of the activities of the INPUT organisation used to promote the idea of public television acting in the public interest.
The most interesting public television productions from around the world presented during INPUT conferences in 2006-2008 will be made available to Poland’s television community during The Best of INPUT conference, which will be held on October 24-26, 2008 at the Palace of Science and Culture in Warsaw.

The essence of the conference is the screening of several dozen carefully selected programmes from the best, most interesting, and most innovative ones broadcast by public television stations in various countries and attendant professional discussions.
These discussions concern all aspects of production, realisation, broadcast, and social impact. Thus INPUT is the place where new ideas and novel ways of thinking are born.

The Best of INPUT will also initiate the Polish pre-selection to the INPUT 2009 conference programme. The international selection will take place in Berlin in February 2009. The Best of INPUT partner is the Goethe-Institut, which collaborates with the INPUT conference in organising local Mini-INPUT conferences around the world. The organizer of The Best of INPUT is Polish Television, which will be hosting the INPUT 2009 conference.
For the first time in history the greatest television event in the world will be held in Central-Eastern Europe.

This will be the second time The Best of INPUT has been held in Poland. The previous edition took place in May 2006 in Wroclaw. The programme of that conference covered the years 2003-2005.

To whom is INPUT directed?
•    Personnel who manage all aspects of programming by Polish Television, public-access TV, and other television stations
•    Program directors, heads of editorial offices, and editors charged with ordering
•    Television authors and producers
•    Independent producers
•    Employees and partners of public television
