What is INPUT

INPUT is an annual screening conference for media makers, featuring television and digital media productions from public broadcasters worldwide.
It is not a festival, market or competition and has no commercial interest.
The focus is on the thorough and professional debate of recent public service productions. Therefore each production selected to be screened at INPUT Barcelona, 9 - 13 May 2022 is presented/introduced by a person closely connected to the production.

Who can submit

Under the slogan “storytelling in the public interest” INPUT is open to public service media institutions from all over the world.
Basically it is the INPUT National Coordinators
who have the right to submit productions to the International Selection. They have to follow a country quota and therefore often organise a national pre-selection. Media makers are asked to contact the INPUT National Coordinators in charge of their country of origin. In countries where there is no National Coordinator get in touch with the INPUT Secretariat at

The productions submitted should be made for television and should not have been published before 1 January 2020.

The conference in Barcelona 2022 will be the first one after a compulsory break of 2 years caused by the pandemic and has therefore slightly extended the period of eligibility.
