Canada, Calgary

Calgary is a vibrant cultural centre in Canada
Calgary is Canada’s fastest growing city. Our diversity and prosperity create a young, vibrant culture that is taking its place on the national and international stage.

Calgary is home to one of Canada’s biggest festivals, the Calgary Stampede, Canada’s National Music Centre, and Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame (drawing on our Olympic Legacy). Our film and television industry has an annual production of $120 Million and a 5:1 return on investment. Our award winning crews and locations have provided the backdrop for films including Brokeback Mountain, Inception, The Bourne Legacy, and TV series including Heartland and Hell on Wheels.

Calgary’s playground is close by.

Calgary’s playground is an easy one to two hour drive away! The Canadian Rockies to the West and Badlands to the East are at our doorstep and trips to UNESCO World Heritage Sites are easily accessible (see Stay a Day plans). In the heart of the mountains is Banff National Park where you can explore 1,600 KM of trails as you watch for deer, elk, moose and bear before hitting the golf course, spa and great restaurants all within the park.
